Karen and Derek
This small wedding had such a nice, intimate feel to it. Karen and Derek got some great shots at the beautiful resort backdrop. And I loved their wedding favors--seedling trees for everyone to take home to plant!

Fellow Dog Lovers
This has nothing to do with photography whatsoever, even though I just finished two weddings this weekend. BUT, I have to tell this story because I am soo mad!!! This week, one of my mom's neighbor's threatened to poison--yes POISON--my two puppies, and all we did to this man was walk past his house on the PUBLIC sidewalk, leashed and with poo bag in hand. Not only did he find it appropriate to threaten to kill my peanuts (yes, I did call the police about this), he proceeds to call the police back on me to lie to them about things that are not true about my animals! If you know me, I am the most responsible pet owner possible and have done nothing to bring on this guy's threats on the lives of my puppies. My puppies have more decency and kindness in their little hearts than this man does--how does someone get such a disregard for life??? Okay, that is my fired up blog for the day. More photography to come soon.

Jody and Jonathon
This wedding was truly magical. The frontyard ceremony, the backyard tent reception, the handmade dresses and jewelry, the chocolate fountain, the slideshow, a beautiful bride and groom, and every other well-thought detail made the wedding so special. Thank you, Jody and Jonathan, for this photographer's playground--this whole wedding provided WOW images. Julie, thanks for the hookup!

Clicking Chicks
Okay, so this week, my crazy photographer friend Lindsey and I decided to photograph each other because we, as photographers, are never photographed! We spent ALL DAY on this project but it was sooo fun and so worth it. It would be a little narcissistic (spelling?) if I published photos of myself, so I will pick a few of Lindsey's--they are all so hot! If you want to see mine, you will have to hunt them down on her website ; )
Angela and Tim
This is the third wedding I got to shoot for the Woelfel/Sauter families, and it was beautiful! The butterfly release was a unique way to honor those passed, the Woelfel girls had some of the most beautiful eyes I've ever photographed, and Angela and Tim were so easy to photograph together. Congrats you two!

Jamin Does the Capitol
When I work at a capitol, it usually looks something like this and involves a girl in a white dress...
Well, my biggest little brother graduated law school this month and he is spending the summer as an intern (hopefully he can stay out of trouble) in Washington D.C. at the Department of Treasury.
Yes, we are all proud. But even more than that, we are really excited to get paid back for all the money we've loaned and cars we've bought him ; )

Karin and Mark
Every once in a while, there's a wedding that comes along where everything comes together and it just seems right--the flowers, the dresses, the locations, the people, and even the food ; ) Karin and Mark were so sweet together, and I felt lucky to be the photographer that got to do this wedding. I already know it will be one of my favorites this year, and it's only June!
